Trail character

Starting from the high viewpoints around Ölüdeniz, this section follows the mountain-to-coast transitions around Faralya, Kabak and Alınca. Ancient settlements and coastal plains shape the area around Patara and Kalkan. Approaching Kaş via Gökçeören, the trail returns to rocky, undulating terrain.

Who is it for?

A popular section for a first experience of the Lycian Way, although it should not automatically be considered beginner-level. Stage selection, season and daily ascent must be planned around your fitness.

Planning notes

  • Some sections offer both coastal and inland alternatives.
  • Water points and accommodation intervals vary between stages.
  • Spring and autumn are preferable to the summer heat.
