This notice covers events, overnight stays and optional membership on safaritrekk.com. It is an information notice, not a request for explicit consent.

Information we collect

Contact: your name, email, phone number and requests or notes you send us.
Bookings: event or stay dates, party size, meal and exclusive-use choices, status and participation details.
Transactions: applied campaigns, external payment/refund records and transaction history. The website does not collect card details.
Optional accounts: verified email, session, membership and participation history; encrypted profile details if you choose to save them.
Identity: identity/passport number and date of birth only for events where they are necessary and separately explained.

Purposes of processing

For Safaritrek events and stays, your name, email, phone number, dates, party size and request details are used to assess your request, allocate capacity, organise the service, confirm participation and communicate booking updates. External payment and refund details are recorded for tracking; this website does not collect card details. Optional membership uses your verified email account and participation history to provide account access and calculate advertised membership benefits. Keeping profile details for future requests requires a separate choice. Transaction and sign-in security records are used to prevent misuse and control authorised access. Data-rights requests are recorded so they can be assessed.

Collection methods and legal grounds

Information is collected electronically through website forms, email sign-in, booking and participation procedures and messages you send us. Communication and transaction data necessary to handle a request or booking are processed on the basis of entering into or performing a contract (Article 5/2-c of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law, KVKK). Security and access controls are assessed on the basis of legitimate interests, provided your rights and freedoms are not prejudiced (Article 5/2-f). Payment, dispute or application records that must be retained are processed under Article 5/2-ç or 5/2-e only to the extent required by the specific legal obligation or the establishment or protection of a right. Optional profile storage for future bookings is based on your separate explicit consent (Article 5/1). Reading this notice does not itself constitute consent. Where an event requests identity information, its purpose and legal basis are explained for that event.

Recipients

Authorised Safaritrek team members may access communication and booking details as required for their duties. Viewing and deleting identity information require separate permissions. Cloudflare provides website hosting, database, file storage and security infrastructure. Resend sends sign-in codes and transactional notifications and processes the email address and message content. Incoming domain emails are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the mailbox selected by the business. Information may be disclosed to legally authorised authorities only under a valid request or obligation. The website does not currently share data with advertising networks or send marketing messages. Permissions needed to publish photographs and reviews are assessed separately before publication.

International services and transfers

Cloudflare infrastructure and the Resend email service are global services; processing may take place outside Türkiye. Reading this notice, ticking a booking checkbox or selecting a cookie preference does not constitute explicit consent to an international transfer.

Retention and deletion

Sign-in sessions last 24 hours. Expired sign-in codes and sessions are removed during scheduled maintenance. Cookie preference records are stored in the browser for 180 days. Optional profile information can be removed from the active system using the deletion function in your account. Booking, payment/refund, participation, security and data-rights records are not all subject to the same retention period. Records are kept for as long as necessary for their processing purposes and applicable legal obligations. Deleting a profile does not automatically delete earlier bookings. You may request deletion of records that no longer need to be kept. Profile and identity-erasure records are reapplied when reviewing a restoration from an older backup.

Your rights and requests

You have the right to learn whether and why your data is processed and who receives it; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion or destruction when the conditions are met and notification to relevant recipients; object to an adverse result based solely on automated analysis; and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. You can write from your registered email address to info@safaritrekk.com with the subject “Personal data request”, or use the data-request form in your account. Describe your request and provide the relevant booking number; do not attach unnecessary identity documents. If identity verification is needed, we will explain an appropriate method. Other application methods provided by law remain available. Requests are addressed as soon as possible according to their nature, and within 30 days at the latest. They are free except where charges are permitted by law.

Identity details for events

A Turkish identity or passport number and date of birth are not requested for every reservation. They should be collected only for events where necessity and legal grounds have been verified, for the purpose explained on the event page. Records are encrypted; viewing and deleting identity data require separate team permissions, and these actions are logged. Identity numbers are not included in general participant lists, CSV files or notification emails. Format validation is not official identity verification.

Optional map

The map on the campsite page loads only after you select “Show map”. Your browser then connects to Google servers, and Google may process your IP address, browser information and map request. Google may use cookies or similar technologies for its own service, and servers outside Türkiye. Closing the map ends this page’s connection but does not delete records already created by the provider. You can read the directions and coordinates without opening the map. See Google’s privacy information. “Get directions” and “Read Google reviews” open Google Maps in a new tab, where Google’s privacy practices apply. Opening the map is not general permission for other processing.

Membership, profile and marketing choices

Membership is optional. Saving a profile for later bookings is a separate, optional choice; saving identity details also requires a separate selection. Deleting a profile does not cancel a booking. Marketing permission is not a condition of the service, and marketing messages are not currently enabled.
